Gurugram, Mar 7: Experienced golfer Vani Kapoor displayed remarkable composure to claim her second consecutive title on the Women’s Pro Golf Tour, securing a comfortable three-shot victory at the Classic Golf & Country Club.

Vani, who had been at the top since the opening round, finished with an even-par total of 216 (70-75-71) over 54 holes, outpacing Ridhima Dilawari (76-73-70) and Rhea Jha (74-72-73).

Despite an early bogey on the first hole, Vani recovered with birdies on the third and sixth and maintained a solid back-nine performance with one birdie and eight pars. Her consistent play helped her pull away from her competitors, making her victory look effortless.

Ridhima put up a challenge with birdies on the eighth and ninth holes, but a single bogey on the back nine limited her chances. Meanwhile, Rhea Jha’s three bogeys in the first 11 holes dented her title hopes, despite a late surge with birdies on the 15th and 17th.

Amandeep Drall, who shared the lead with Vani after the second round, struggled with consistency and ended tied for fourth with Neha Tripathi at 4-over 220. The highlight of the final day was Kriti Chowhan’s stunning 3-under 69, the best round of the tournament, which propelled her to a tied-sixth finish.

With this victory, Vani Kapoor moved to the second position in the Hero Order of Merit, trailing Sneha Singh, who remains on top. While Sneha has accumulated earnings of Rs 6,65,567, Vani is close behind with Rs6,54,000. Amandeep Drall and Kriti Chowhan are locked in a tight contest for third place.

The tournament witnessed some thrilling performances, further intensifying the race for supremacy on the tour.
