Manchester, Mar 8: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made it clear that he will judge Jack Grealish solely on his performances on the pitch, dismissing concerns over the player’s recent night out.
Grealish was spotted at a Newcastle social club last Sunday, just a day after City’s FA Cup victory over Plymouth. Reports suggest he interacted with locals, posed for photos, and even covered drinks for patrons. The outing follows another incident last month when he was filmed leaving a London hotspot.

When asked about Grealish’s off-field activities, Guardiola maintained his stance: “A day off is a day off. They have private lives to do whatever they want. I’m not going to control that. I judge what I see on the pitch, in training, and in games.”
Despite being City's £100 million signing, Grealish has struggled for game time, starting just one Premier League match since December 4. With his contract running until 2027, his future at the club remains uncertain, especially after being left out of England’s Euro 2024 squad.
Guardiola reinforced that any decisions on players' futures will be made at the end of the season. Meanwhile, City bolstered their squad with four winter signings, including Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million, with more additions expected in the summer.
City now shift focus to their premier league and champions league campaigns, aiming for a strong finish in what has been an underwhelming season so far.
