Nani’s ‘The Paradise’ promises gritty tale of struggle and justice

Hyderabad, Mar 7: Director Srikanth Odela has described his upcoming Nani-starrer The Paradise as an ‘unapologetically honest Indian film,’ sparking anticipation among moviegoers. The recently released first glimpse, packed with raw intensity, has already taken the internet by storm.

Set against the backdrop of 1980s Secunderabad, The Paradise delves into the struggles of a marginalized tribe fighting for their identity. At its core is an unlikely leader, referred to simply as “a bastard,” who challenges a system built to suppress them. The film carries a powerful message "You don’t need an identity to be a leader" while tackling themes of bureaucracy, oppression, and exploitation.

Odela, who made his directorial debut with Dasara (2023), is determined to push boundaries with The Paradise. “We are not masking societal taboos this time. This film will be raw, real, and brutally honest,” he said, emphasizing its global relevance.

Nani, thrilled about the project, compared it to Mad Max, calling it India's version of the iconic action saga. “The tone of The Paradise will be wild, and that wildness will be accompanied by poetic justice,” he remarked.

Slated for a grand theatrical release on March 26, 2026, The Paradise will hit screens in eight languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, English, Spanish, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam.
