Udupi: 70-year-old woman dies by suicide

Udupi, Mar 8: An elderly woman took her own life by hanging herself near Okude Layout, 6th cross Udupi.

The deceased is identified as Kaveri (70). The reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

PSI Gopal Krishna Jogi, ASI Subhas Kamath, head constable Sushma of the town police station conducted the legal proceedings with the help of social worker Nityananda Volakadu. The mortal remains were shifted to district hospital for post-mortem examination.

A case has been registered at Udupi town police station.

    May her soul rest in Peace.Since she was 70years old ,think either she was very sick ,or had problems ,noone was there to look after her?Children?very sad.Lets wait for the report.what was wrong.
