Moodbidri, Jul 15: Alva’s PU College has secured 99.06% result in the second PU examination, the results of which were declared on Tuesday July 14.
In the top ten list of the state for all the three sections of science, commerce and arts, 21 student of Alva’s PU College have bagged ranks. This information was shared by Dr M Mohan Alva, president of Alva’s Education Foundation.
In the last PU examinations, 2,779 students appeared from the college. Out of this 2,753 students have passed.

In science section, 2,229 students of the college wrote the examination, out of which 2,209 students got passed and the percentage pass is 99.10. In the commerce section, 502 students took the examination, out of which 496 students cleared and the pass percentage is 98.80. All the 48 students who wrote examinations in the arts section passed securing 100% result.
In total 21 students of the college have secured places in the top ten list in the state in all the three sections.
In science section Anarghya K (592), Raghuveer Matada (592), Lishan A A (592), Anil Banni Shetty (589), Bhagesh N Kodaganoor, Vinayaka G Gaddi, Suviksh V Hegde and Maheshwar C (All 588), Swati B Malemat, P S Ravindra, Dhanya K N (All 587) have secured ranks.
In the commerce section, Harsha J Acharya (593), Eshwar Vijayaswamy Elagar (591), Shreya K B (591), Prathitha (590) and Rihal Ayyappa M S (590), Srisamartha, Bhargavi B, Chandana D Hegde, Priyanka G Dhanya and Aishwarya M (all 589) have secured ranks.
Subject-wise 100% result is achieved by the institution in 747 papers. Out of this 298 are Maths papers. As many as 2,658 students, including 1,767 with distinction, have passed in first class, 74 students have passed in second class and 21 students have cleared the examination in third class.
