Terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam is heinous, condemnable: Prasad Raj Kanchan

Media Release

Udupi, Apr 23: "The terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, is a heinous and condemnable act," said Udupi Congress leader Prasad Raj Kanchan.

Prasad Raj Kanchan, expressing deep sorrow over the incident, noted that 28 tourists, including two from Karnataka, lost their lives in the tragic attack and said, “This is not just an attack by terrorists, it is an assault on humanity and a strike at the identity of our land. We, as Indians, must unite and uproot the forces behind such barbaric acts.”

Prasad Raj Kanchan alleged that such a well-coordinated attack in Pahalgam could not have occurred without the involvement of Pakistan and its intelligence agencies. He criticized the central government for making hollow claims that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has normalized since the abrogation of Article 370.

Prasad Raj Kanchan, further added, “Instead of issuing empty statements, the central government must take concrete steps to prevent such inhumane incidents and ensure that innocent Indians do not lose their lives in this manner. When it comes to national security, the government must stop misleading the people with false assurances.”
