Mangaluru: 15th Annual Day celebration held at Milagres College

Mangaluru, Apr 23: The Annual Day celebration of Milagres College, was held on Tuesday, April 22, at the Milagres Jubilee Hall.

Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, designate director of Father Muller Hospital and Medical College, addressed the gathering as the chief guest and said, “In student life, goals can be achieved only through experience, determination, and continuous effort. One cannot succeed without facing humiliation, doubt, and eventually, recognition.”

Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Badekkila Pradeep, actor, model, writer and a well-known voice artiste from Karnataka emphasised the importance of cultural involvement during student life. He added, “If we live a life rooted in humanity, respect will follow. We must grow in such a way that respect seeks us out.”

The event was graced by vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council, Sylvester Mascarenhas; secretary Jacintha Fernandes; PTA president Vijayalakshmi; Alvin Rosario, Gerald Pinto, student leader Juhi Joyce, and cultural secretary Stephen Elloy, among others.

The programme was presided over by Bonaventure Nazareth, correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions. The college principal, Dr Michael L Santhumayor, welcomed the gathering.

Lecturer Chaitra delivered the vote of thanks, and student Joslin valdar of II Bcom compered the event.
