Mangaluru, Jul 9: St Aloysius College (Autonomous), here, has always strived to upgrade the infrastructure of the college for the benefit of the staff and students. In this regard, this year, it has renovated some of the classrooms in the Xavier Block and staff rooms, AV Room, the Photocopying Centre and the Cafetaria in the Arrupe Block.
The inauguration of the campus Chill and Photocopying Centre in Arrupe Block and the renovated classrooms in Xavier Block was held on Wednesday July 8.
Principal Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ inaugurated the campus Chill and Fr Vincent Pinto SJ blessed the Photocopying Centre.
Fr Felix Victor, SJ blessed the renovated classrooms in Xavier Block and Fr Marcel Rodrigues SJ, blessed the newly constructed the AV room and staffrooms.
Dr Alwyn D’Sa, registrar, Dr Dennis Fernandes, director, Arrupe Block, Dr John E DSilva, director, Xavier Block, Dr Loveena Lobo, director, Maffei Block, Dr Norbert Lobo, director, Admin Block, the deans of the various streams and the heads of the various departments were present during the programme.
During the programme, the contractor, Richard and the manager, Harish of M/s Vailankanni Constructions, Mangaluru were honoured for their unstinted support in completing this project.
