Mangaluru: Workers stranded in Lakshwadweep return home safely

Mangaluru, May 28: Workers who got stuck at Lakshadweep have returned home to the city after a gap of two months.

They were brought here by a boat titled 'Amin Divi' on Thursday May 28. Nineteen workers including three women finally made it after a two-month wait.

They had left for Lakshadweep for different purposes like conducting business, tile works, scrap collection etc.

It is learnt that they were held up at Kiltan Kavaratti, Agaratti islands. The Indian Coast Guard helped them for conducting this rescue operation.

On arrival, health condition of the workers were checked.

    He must have undertaken the stupendous task of hiring a ship, obtaining maritime approvals to ship the stranded with delicious food and beverages, maneuvering the ship efficiently despite the amphan conditions and dock safely in the port, yet managing to stay spotless white!!

    At least if these politicians had arranged food for the migrants who are waiting for their trains from different places would have been highly appreciated rather than waiting with a rose to welcome 12 passengers. What did Congress and BJP MLC and MLA achieve by this . Only a photoshoot

    In the name of Covid , these politicians are doing a big drama. But at Jokatte railway station Bengal migrants are crying to go back to thei home town. But not a single our elected representative nor political leaders are there to listen or help them.
