Bantwal, Feb 23: The 14th edition of the Mooduru-Paduru Jodukare Bayalu Kambala will take place under floodlights on March 8 at Koodibailu in Navoor village. Chief minister Siddaramaiah, several ministers, and other dignitaries are expected to participate, former minister and honorary president of the Kambala committee B Ramanath Rai announced.
He was speaking at a press conference after releasing the invitation card for the event at Rangoli Sabha Bhavan in BC Road on February 22 afternoon.

Religious leaders to inaugurate the Kambala
The event will be inaugurated at 8.45 am at the Late Albert Pais Koodibailu stage by Soluru Arya-Ediga Maha Sansthana Peetadhipathi Vikhyatananda Swamiji, along with Fr Robert D'Souza, parish priest of Allipade St Antony Church, and Aladangadi royal family member Dr Padmaprasad Ajila, he said.
Earlier, Kambala was grandly organized for 10 years near the national highway at Kavalakatta under the leadership of B Padmashekhar Jain. However, due to land issues, it was discontinued. In the last four years, under the leadership of president Pius L Rodrigues, the event has been systematically conducted at Koodibailu fields in Navoor village with proper infrastructure and facilities, he added.

Kambala committee working president Chandra Prakash Shetty, booth president Baby Kundar, treasurer Philip Frank, and other prominent members including Sudarshan Jain, Chandrashekhar Bhandary, Balakrishna Anchan, K Padmanabha Rai, P Ramakrishna Alva, Sudhakar Shenai Khandiga, Sudeep Kumar Shetty, Umesh Kulal Navoor, Sadashiva Bangera, Suresh Kumar Navoor, Shabbir Siddakatte, Abbas Ali, B Mohan, Mohammad Sharif, Mohammad Nandavar, Rajesh Rodrigues, Lester Rodrigues, Siddiq Guddeyangadi, Devappa Kulal Panjikallu, Keshava Poojary Asaldoodi, Praveen Rodrigues, Venkappa Poojary, and Denzil Noronha were present at the press conference.
Committee president Pius L Rodrigues welcomed the gathering, while general secretary Rajeev Shetty Edthuru delivered the vote of thanks.
