Kaup, Mar 14: Sagara MLA and chairman of Karnataka State Forest Industries Corporation Limited, Gopalakrishna Belur, along with his wife and son, visited the newly renovated Kapu Shri Hosa Marigudi Temple on Friday, March 14 to seek the blessings of Goddess Mariamma.
On this occasion, he was honoured on behalf of the Billava Stambha for offering 99 Shila Sevas. The temple's Development Committee, Brahmakalashotsava Committee, and Management Committee members presented him with the sacred prasadam of the Goddess.




Speaking to the media, he recalled that his father-in-law used to visit this temple regularly, and now, he and his family continue the tradition. He praised the temple's reconstruction, stating that it serves as a model for other temples. He urged the state government to allocate Rs 50 to 100 cr for the development of this temple, similar to the grants provided to other religious sites.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Ratnakar Shetty Nadikere, president of the Management Committee; Ravi Kiran, executive officer; Yogish V Shetty Balaji, president of the Brahmakalashotsava Committee; Ramesh Hegde Kalya, general secretary of the Development Committee; and Management Committee members Madhav R Palan, Ravindra M, and Charith Devadiga.
Geetanjali M Suvarna, president of the Women's Wing of the Navadurga Lekhana Yajna Committee, and Madhukar S, chief coordinator of the Office Management Committee, were also present at the event.
