Mangaluru: St Agnes CBSE School Bendur conducts online competitions in remembrance of visionary

Mangaluru, Nov 3: In recognition of the sesquicentennial jubilee of the establishment of the Apostolic Carmel in India, St Agnes CBSE School organized various online competitions in memory of the great visionary, venerable Mother Veronica, for the students of grade I to X in October.

A pictorial story competition on the life of Mother Veronica was conducted for the students of grade IX. The students creatively presented scenes and images on the life of venerable Mother Veronica. Students of grade V to X participated in a poetry writing competition. Given the option of the language they preferred, they were asked to write a poem on Mother Veronica in English, Kannada, or Hindi. The students beautifully expressed their love and devotion toward the great visionary in the form of a poem.

Students of grade I to X artistically sketched the portrait of Venerable Mother Veronica. The aim of this competition was to develop creativity in the students. It was a successful event and the students were very happy and enjoyed drawing the portrait.



The participants were judged on the basis of relevance to the theme, originality and creativity, innovation and overall presentation. All the students were felicitated with e-certificates. St Agnes School continues to add feathers to its cap of achievements. With such talented students and support, their growth is visible inspite of the pandemic. The competitions presented yet another opportunity to all the participants showcasing and enhancing their talent.
