Hyderabad, Apr 22: Celebrations are in full swing as superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna's high-octane action entertainer Daaku Maharaj, directed by Bobby Kolli, has successfully completed 100 days in theatres. Released during the Sankranti festival on January 12, the film continues to draw crowds, marking yet another box office milestone for the veteran actor.
The achievement was officially announced by music director Thaman S, who played a crucial role in the film’s success. Sharing a special poster on his X timeline, Thaman expressed gratitude to fans for the overwhelming response the film received.

Daaku Maharaj now joins the elite list of Balakrishna’s recent hits to complete a 100-day theatrical run, following the success of Akhanda, Veerasimha Reddy, and Bhagavanth Kesari—all of which also featured chartbuster music by Thaman.
With cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Niranjan Devaramane and Ruben, the film’s powerful visuals and gripping action sequences won widespread appreciation. The screenplay was penned by K Chakravarthy Reddy, while dialogues were written by Bhanu and Nandu. Action scenes were choreographed by stunt director V Venkat.
So pleased was Balakrishna with Thaman’s musical contributions to his string of blockbuster films that he reportedly gifted the composer a brand-new Porsche as a token of appreciation. The bond between the actor and the composer has only strengthened, with Balakrishna even referring to him as “Nandamuri Thaman” in a recent interview.
Thaman is now working on Akhanda 2: Thandavam, the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda. The film is slated for a grand release on September 25 this year, timed for the Dussehra festive season.
As Daaku Maharaj continues its victorious run, fans are already counting down to the next collaboration between Balakrishna and his now go-to music director, Thaman.
