Dubai, Apr 23: In a heartfelt gesture of goodwill and spiritual blessing, Fr Michael Cardoz, the esteemed priest of St Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubai, visited The Boatman’s Hub, the highly anticipated coastal cuisine restaurant poised to open its doors on Wednesday, April 23, in Dubai.
The Boatman’s Hub is the latest culinary venture by the Fortune Group of Hotels, a Praveen Shetty enterprise known for crafting innovative dining experiences. It joins an illustrious portfolio of award-winning concepts including Freddy’s Restro Café, Ascent Rooftop Lounge, Desi Dhaba, Nalukettu, Rasa, and more — each celebrated for their distinctive flavours, ambience, and hospitality.

Marking the occasion with solemnity and grace, Fr Michael offered prayers and blessings for the restaurant’s success, invoking peace, prosperity, and unity for all who walk through its doors. As part of the visit, he sprinkled holy water across the entrance and kitchen as a symbol of protection and abundance.
Following the blessing ceremony, Fr Michael shared the restaurant’s very first meal alongside Praveen Shetty, chairman of the Fortune Group of Hotels, in a quiet moment of reflection and celebration. The two were joined by members of the restaurant’s leadership and staff for this inaugural meal, symbolizing unity and shared vision.
Fr Michael extended his best wishes to the entire management team and members of the staff, commending their efforts in bringing the concept to life. He also lauded the project team for their exceptional execution and attention to detail, noting that The Boatman’s Hub promises to be a unique and welcoming destination on Dubai’s culinary map for guests who cherish Mangalorean, Goan, and Malvani cuisine.
With a warm blessing and encouraging words, Fr Michael concluded his visit by wishing The Boatman’s Hub continued success and a journey filled with gratitude, hospitality, and growth.
