Udupi, May 28: Deputy commissioner (DC) G Jagadeesha has taken out an order in which he has stated that people from outstation states and overseas countries who have completed seven days in quarantine will be released on Thursday, May 28 itself. This is accordance with the order taken out by the state government.
The DC, in his order said, "Those who completed seven days of institutionalized quarantine have to undergo seven days of mandatory home quarantine. If they develop any symptoms of Covid-19 in 14 days, they should report the same to the local primary health care centre or health department.
"Those who get released and go for home quarantine, should install home quarantine app in their mobile. There is Geo penning in this app which will track everyone. If home quarantine rule is violated for the first time, the person will be given a warning. If the offense is repeated for second time, a criminal case will be booked against the erring person. This new rule of the state government will give freedom for more than 8,000 people."
