Mangaluru, May 25: Coronavirus claimed its seventh victim in Dakshina Kannada district on Monday May 25, with the death of a patient from Beltangady taluk.
Sources said that the 43-year-old man had come to Wenlock with a complaint related to heart ailment. He was diagnosed with severe acute respiratory syndrome.
However, he passed away, after which he was tested for coronavirus. The test result confirmed that he had contracted the virus.

With this, the total number of deaths in Dakshina Kannada due to coronavirus has risen to seven.
On Monday, a total of four cases were reported in Dakshina Kannada, including this one.
As of now, 70 coronavirus cases have been reported in the district so far, out of which 37 are currently active. As many as 26 persons have been cured and discharged.
