Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 16: No fresh cases were reported in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Thursday, April 16. No coronavirus-positive cases have been reported from 12 days now.
As per statistics, in Dakshina Kannada, a total of 39,032 persons have been screened so far, out of whom 797 are currently under home quarantine.
No patient has been quarantined in Wenlock hospital, while 10 have been quarantined in ESI hospital. Fifteen were discharged from ESI hospital today.
As many as 5,276 persons have completed 28 days of home quarantine, with no symptoms reported.
Out of the 682 samples sent so far, 611 have tested negative, and a total of 12 tested positive, out of which three are currently active, and nine have been discharged.
On Thursday, reports of 113 samples were received, all of which were negative. Another 24 samples have been sent to the lab in Wenlock hospital on Thursday.
Reports of 59 samples are awaited. Eleven people are currently admitted for observation.
In Udupi, as on April 16, a total of 1,479 people have completed 28 days of quarantine, with 108 completing the period on April 16. Another 2,050 people have completed 14 days of quarantine, including 34 on April 16.
As many as 152 people are currently under home quarantine, and 38 are in quarantine in hospital. Seven people were placed under hospital quarantine on Thursday.
No coronavirus related patient was discharged from hospital on Thursday. A total of 196 have been discharged from the wards till now.
A total of 821 samples have been collected, with 178 fresh ones on Thursday alone. Among them, 150 are of those who came into contact with coronavirus suspects and persons who tested positive.
Out of the samples tested so far, 409 have tested negative. Reports of another 409 samples are awaited.
Udupi district has so far reported three coronavirus-positive cases, among whom two were discharged from hospital on April 11 and 14.
