Bhopal, Feb 24: During the inaugural session of the Madhya Pradesh Global Investment Summit (GIS) in Bhopal on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that education is the "biggest investment" one can make in life.
Prime Minister Modi explained that his 15-minute delay in arriving at the summit was due to the Madhya Pradesh board exams for class 10th and 12th students, which were taking place that morning. “I was informed about the exams and their timing, which coincided with my departure for the summit. I didn’t want the students to face traffic disruptions, so I adjusted my schedule. Education must never be hindered, as it is the most valuable investment in one’s life,” he shared with the audience.
His thoughtful gesture of adjusting his travel plans won the hearts of those present, as well as millions watching the event live.

Scheduled to leave Raj Bhavan at 9:45 am, the Prime Minister departed at 10 am to head for the GIS venue at the Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised the Prime Minister's sensitivity toward students, noting his continuous efforts to support and motivate the younger generation through various initiatives.
At the summit, PM Modi also launched Madhya Pradesh’s new investment policy, developed under Chief Minister Yadav’s leadership, aimed at attracting investors by offering incentives and promoting a business-friendly environment. The Prime Minister unveiled over 18 new state policies related to various sectors, including industry, MSMEs, food, tourism, export, and technology.
PM Modi further declared that Madhya Pradesh is now poised to become a "future-ready" state, offering ample opportunities for investment. He urged industrialists to consider expanding their operations in the state, assuring them of strong returns.
