Mangaluru, Aug 20: E-Step by Startup Karnataka Initiative was held at PA College of Engineering Mangaluru on Tuesday, August 20 in association with department of IT and BT, government of Karnataka, Startup cell Karnataka and PACE group.
The bootcamp is conducted across Karnataka at 30 locations and 21 districts, PACE, Mangaluru being the 11th location. Abrar Torgal, associate, Marketing and Outreach, Startup Karnataka Bengaluru, Government of Karnataka was the resource person had moderated the bootcamp. Vishnu Nagaraj, Mentor and Startup Evangelist, assisted the students. Students were encouraged about Ideation, product development and business model. Mohammed Ashfaque, managing director, Atelier Designs Mangaluru who was also one of the resource pesons, convinced the young minds to become entrepreneur rather than job seeker.
Dr Abdul Sharif, principal of PA College of Engineering, in his presidential address expressed that innovation centre at PACE would lay a platform for all the innovative ideas in the region. Dr Surfraz Hashim J, director (Academics) PAET, Mangaluru and Dr Krishna Prasad N, Incubation Centre Manager, PACE-NAIN incubation Centre, Mangaluru, were present during the programme. Prof Shainy Mathew welcomed the gathering, and Prof Nagma Parveen introduced the guest. Dr Ronald Valder proposed the vote of thanks.
