Mangaluru, Apr 21: Shamina Alva has been elected as the new president of the prestigious Vijaya College Alumni Association in Mulki.
She has previously served as the president of the college’s management committee and is currently an active member of the Vijaya College Board of Trustees, contributing to various developmental activities of the institution.
A well-known figure in the social sphere, Shamina Alva also serves as the president of the Tulu Nadu Bunt Women’s Association and the Tuluvere Ayana Koota.
Following her election as president of the alumni association, she was congratulated by college principal Prof Venkatesh Bhat, Mumbai Vijaya College Alumni Association president Vasudeva Salian, Global Federation of Bunt Associations president Aikala Harish Shetty, and Mumbai Bantara Sangha president Praveen Bhoja Shetty, among others.
