Udupi, Jul 27: The professor (rtd) of Bhandarkar’s College, Kundapur, Dr Parvathi Aithal inaugurated the Literary Association of Milagres College, Kallianpur and spoke about values in literature.

"Reading literature helps us to introspect. The thoughts of our predecessors should be adapted to grow positive. Real success in life means contributing something good to society and not mere money making. Students should inculcate the habit of writing alongside," Dr Parvathi advised the students.

The principal of the college, Dr Vincent Alva chaired the programme and called the students to imbibe creativity through the literary association’s activities.

The coordinator of the Literary Association and head of the department of Kannada, Prof Harinakshi MD welcomed everybody and presented the forewords.

The HOD of dept of Hindi, Prof Sophia Dias, lecturer in English, Prof Chandrika and the student representatives Sheethal, Shravya and Henrita were on the dais. Students Shayona and Roshni invocated the programme. Pavithra proposed the vote of thanks and Akshatha presented the programme.
