Mangaluru: St Mary's English Higher Primary School Falnir hosts PTA general body meet

Mangaluru, Jul 15: The Parent Teacher Association annual general body meeting was recently held by resource person Dr A N Madhusudhan Rao from Bengaluru at St Mary’s English Higher Primary School, Falnir, here.

Being a retired employee of Vijaya Bank, he stepped into the educational field and became popular by securing PhD for his thesis on yoga and education. He showed interest in editing books like Jnana Deevige, Triveni along with publishing articles in Karnataka’s daily, weekly and monthly journals.

He addressed the parents and enlightened their minds in shouldering the responsibility for growth of their children along with the teachers. In the afternoon he conducted orientation of the teachers on being a great teacher and inspired them through many examples.



The chief guest was welcomed by the joint secretary Sr Maria Gloria AC. The headmistress Sr Letitia AC offered a few suggestions to the parents for the upliftment of the school.

The former PTA vice Rita Furtado was thanked for the generous service rendered during her tenure. A new PTA was formed with Shobha Kotian elected as new vice president for the academic year 2019-20.

The newly formed PTA members were welcomed by their own children with a flower on the commemoration of Mount Carmel feast on July 15. The PTA members were overwhelmed for honouring them on this great occasion.
