Bhatkal, Aug 16: Rabita Society has organized their annual educational award function on Friday August 23.
This will be held at their regular venue Anjuman High school ground Bhatkal at 5 pm. The event is expected to close around 8 pm, followed by Mushaira in Local Naity and Urdu languages.
People are requested to come and join the function to encourage the successful students who have completed their respective courses and will continue in their journey towards competitive studies.
This year Rabita Society will felicitate Salahuddin Kobatte, one of the Bhatkal's ex NRI and prominent social worker for his contribution to strengthen the Rabita office activities in nineties.
Over 20 outstanding students, male and female from Muslim institutions will be honored and rewarded for their achievements in the competitive environment.
The event of this year will be addressed by one of the prominent scholar from Patna, Bihar, Dr. Shakeel Qasimi, and the cheif guest will be Mr. Qamarul Islam, Minister for municipal development, Awqaf and Haj, Karnataka. Muslim community leader and president of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal, S M Syed Khalilur Rahman will preside the event.
Bhatkal MLA Mankal Vaidya will be the guest of honor. Top officials including Asst. Commissioner of Bhatkal sub-division, R P Manohar IAS, DYSP Sudhir Kumar Reddy, Incharge Tahshildar Abdul Ghani, Local leaders, Inayatullah Shahbandri, Shivanand Naik, JD Naik and others are expected to join the program to encourage the student community to work harder to create a better society.
Rabita Educational Award is the flag ship annual event of Rabita Society Bhatkal. Each year the event is conducted in a grand way, attended by strong audience and addressed by expert educationists, strategists and leaders of various field.
Rabita Society Bhatkal, will also conduct an annual event of interactive get together meet on 18 August 2013, at Mango Farm Bhatkal. This will include the prominent people of Bhatkal like political leaders, key officials from various depts. and agencies, Police officials, teaching community, bankers and other govt. officials. This is purely a social event to communicate and understand each other.
Rabita Society is a nonprofit making charitable NGO registered in Bhatkal under trust act. Mohammed Ghouse Khalifa is the current Secretary General, while Abdullah Lanka is the president of the body.
The society was established in 1993 to unite the Bhatkal based NRIs in the Arabian Gulf Countries on one platform.
