First poster of highly anticipated Konkani film 'Father' unveiled

Mangaluru, Dec 20: The first poster of the much-awaited Konkani movie 'Father', directed by Nellu Permannur, was unveiled by renowned businessman CA Olvin Rodrigues at the Kudla Carnival programme recently, held at the St Agnes Special School grounds in Mangaluru.

Produced by the team behind the hit movie 'Kombyat', 'Father' has raised high expectations among Konkani cinema enthusiasts. Speaking at the event, CA Olvin Rodrigues expressed his confidence in the movie’s potential, stating it has all the signs of being a blockbuster.



















The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including RO International head Rohan Pereira, Osmitay actress and supermodel Wencita Dias, vice president of Konkani Natak Sabha Liston D'Souza Bajal, Konkani Sahitya Academy Member Naveen Lobo Bajal, Catholic Sabha Bajal unit president Ronald Coelho, Ashith Pinto from Dubai, director Nellu Permannur, editor Raveen Martis, cinematographer Daniel Jason, production manager Maria Joyce, art director Joseph Monteiro, and costume designer Denis Monteiro. The programme was eloquently hosted by Alwyn Danthi Pernal.

The teaser of the film is set to release on December 25, while the movie will hit the screens in September 2025, much to the anticipation of fans.
