UAE sets record with premiere ticket release event for Tulu movie ‘Middle Class Family’

Dubai, Dec 10: The ticket release event for the UAE premiere of the Tulu film ‘Middle Class Family’, directed by young actor-director Rahul Ameen and starring lead actor Vineeth Kumar, was recently held with great fanfare.

The event took place on December 8 at the Marco Polo Hotel conference hall in Dubai. Sarvotham Shetty, President of the Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangh, inaugurated the event alongside the film’s producers and distinguished dignitaries from the UAE. The dignitaries included Harish Sherigar, Harish Bangera, Athmanand Rai, Dinesh Shetty Kottinja, Sudhakar Rao Pejaver of the Brahmin Society, and businessmen Dr Bu Abdulla, Gunasheela Shetty, Ramanand Shetty, Sandeep Rai Nanje, Dr Rashmi Nand Kishore, and Shashidhar Nagrajappa, President of Karnataka Sangh Dubai. The lighting of the lamp marked the commencement of the event.

The family video song from the movie was released by Abu Dhabi entrepreneur Sundar Shetty. Other notable attendees included Santosh Hegde, President of Karnataka Sangh Ras Al Khaimah, along with well-known organizers such as Noel Almeida, Shan Poojari, Devi Prasad Shetty, Balakrishna Shetty Madoruguttu, and Vasanth Shetty. Renowned Mumbai journalist Rons Bantwal, Varadaraj Shettigar, Rajesh Kuttar, Prakash Pakkala, and Deepak Paladka were also present. The video song received widespread appreciation.

The premiere passes were launched in the presence of UAE promoters Monish Sharath Shetty, Harish Bangera, Harish Sherigar, Girish Narayan, and Deepak Kumar.

The film set a remarkable record in the Tulu film industry by earning INR 30 lakh in the UAE even before its release, thanks to the efforts of UAE film presentation sponsors. On the day of the ticket release, it achieved another milestone with over 1,500 tickets sold.

At the event, lead actor Vineeth Kumar expressed his gratitude, stating, "With the blessings of UAE movie lovers, we are creating a great film for the people of Tulu Nadu." He confidently added that the Tulu community would warmly receive the movie, which is set to premiere in the UAE on January 18-19, 2025. He urged everyone to watch the film and support its success.

The film stars Vineeth Kumar and Samatha Ameen in lead roles, supported by legends of Tulu cinema such as Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Prasanna Shetty, Sandeep Shetty, Ravi Ramkunj, Chaitra Shetty, Kadri Navaneeth Shetty, and others.

The event also featured participation from the lead cast, including director Rahul Ameen, producer Anand Kumpala, co-producer Nithin Raj Shetty, and UAE-based co-producers Mitramapadi Jayaram Rai and Swastik Acharya, who urged the Tulu community in the UAE to support the film.

The movie also showcases talented artists from the renowned UAE theatre group Gammat Kalavider, including Chidanand Poojari Vamanjooru, Girish Narayan, Asha Correa, Dony Correa, Deepthi Din Raj, and Kiran Shetty.

Adding to the excitement, the event featured dance performances and music sessions by popular UAE singers. Hosting duties were undertaken by Vineeth Kumar, Girish Narayan, and Swastik Acharya. Director Rahul Ameen concluded the event with a vote of thanks.

The premiere of Middle Class Family will take place in cinemas across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah on January 18-19, 2025. With high expectations and significant buzz in Tulu Nadu, the film promises to captivate audiences.
