Panaji, Mar 28: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has confidently declared that the state is "100% safe for women," emphasizing the government's commitment to ensuring safety and security for all residents and tourists.
Addressing the media during a press interaction, CM Sawant highlighted various measures implemented by the state government to enhance women's safety, including increased police patrolling, installation of CCTV cameras, and strict monitoring of tourist hotspots.
“We have taken every necessary step to ensure that women feel safe and secure in Goa, whether they are residents or visitors. Our administration is fully committed to maintaining law and order across the state,” Sawant stated.
The Chief Minister's assurance comes amidst concerns raised by certain quarters over isolated incidents reported in the state. However, Sawant reiterated that Goa remains one of the safest destinations for women and urged the public not to be swayed by misleading narratives.
Goa continues to attract tourists from across the globe, with authorities striving to uphold its reputation as a safe and welcoming destination for all.
