New Delhi, Mar 30: Cricket Australia (CA) has unveiled the much-anticipated schedule for the 2025-26 international cricket season, featuring an extensive lineup of matches across all eight Australian states and territories. The season will see the Indian men’s team touring Australia for a white-ball series, while the women’s team will engage in an all-format series later in the year.
The international calendar kicks off with Australia hosting South Africa for a three-match T20I and ODI series in August, with games set to take place in Mackay, Darwin, and Cairns. Notably, international cricket will make a return to Darwin’s Marrara Stadium for the first time in 17 years during this series.

Following this, the Indian men’s team will visit Australia for a white-ball series after their 3-1 defeat in the five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy earlier this year. The series comprises three ODIs in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney from October 19-25, followed by five T20Is across Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast, and Brisbane from October 29 to November 8.
The highlight of the season will be the prestigious five-match men’s Ashes series between Australia and England, with matches scheduled in Perth (November 21-25), Brisbane (December 4-8), Adelaide (December 17-21), Melbourne (December 26-30), and Sydney (January 4-8).
The season will culminate with the all-format women’s series between Australia and India. The three-match T20I series will commence on February 15 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, with additional games in Canberra and Adelaide on February 19 and 21, respectively. The ODI series will take place in Brisbane, Hobart, and Melbourne from February 24 to March 1, leading up to the much-anticipated one-off Test match at the newly redeveloped WACA Ground from March 6-9.
In light of this extensive international schedule, the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 season has been rescheduled to the January-February window under the new ICC Women’s Future Tours Programme.
Cricket Australia’s Vision for the 2025-26 Season
Todd Greenberg, the newly appointed CEO of CA, expressed excitement over the upcoming season, emphasizing its significance in fostering international cricket across Australia.
“We are thrilled to announce a packed schedule featuring the historic Ashes rivalry, the high-intensity contests against India’s men’s and women’s teams, and a return to iconic venues in northern Australia for the South Africa series,” Greenberg stated. “With matches in 11 cities and 14 venues, this will be the first season in 17 years to feature men’s internationals in every state and territory capital.”
Reflecting on record-breaking attendance, television viewership, and digital engagement from the previous summer, Greenberg voiced confidence in maintaining the momentum, attributing success to the support of government, venue, broadcast, and commercial partners.
