Moodbidri, Aug 11: A man, uncle of a girl studying in high school, sexually assaulted his niece. This incident took place under the Moodbidri police station limits on Monday, August 9.
The accused is 30-years-old. The victim girl, resident of Tenka Mizar gram panchayat limits, was going back to her home, along with her friend via a hilly terrain. The victim threatened both. The frightened friend of the victim left her alone and ran away. The accused then sexually assaulted the victim who was alone after her friend left her and ran out of fear.
The accused is arrested by the police and a case under POCSO is registered against him.
