Udupi: Man accused of cheating five of Rs two crore over business profits

Udupi, Jan 13: A case has been filed at the CEN police station in Udupi against a man accused of cheating five people of Rs two crore under the pretext of making them business partners and sharing profits.

The accused, Hakeem, a resident of Marne in Karkala, has been running a mobile sales and service business named Sale Zone in a complex on Karkala Market Road for the past 15 years. According to the complaint, Hakeem took gold and cash from Abdul Rahiman, Hafeez T A, Ayoob, Sadakathullah, and Mohammed, who have known him for 20 years, promising to make them partners in his business and share profits. However, as per the complainants, Hakeem did not share any profits.

The CEN police in Udupi are conducting further investigations.
