New Delhi, Jan 13: Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced that Passport Seva Kendras will be established in all 543 Lok Sabha constituencies across the country.
Scindia made the announcement while inaugurating a Passport Seva Kendra in Guna, the constituency which he represents in Madhya Pradesh. He also revealed that six more Passport Seva Kendras will be opened in Madhya Pradesh this year.
The minister stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to open a Passport Seva Kendra in every Lok Sabha constituency to provide better services to the public. The Postal Department is ready to implement this vision with the cooperation of the Ministry of External Affairs.
Scindia also mentioned that 6,000 post offices have been set up across the country.
