CODP organises Educare endowment fund motivation programme at Rosario Church hall

Mangaluru, Jan 12: The Educare Endowment Fund Motivation programme, held on January 12, at the Rosario Church Hall in Pandeshwar was a significant event designed to inspire and guide students. The fund, managed by CODP, Diocese of Mangalore, was established by Michael D'Souza and his family. The programme began and was honoured by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Fr Maxim Noronha, vicar general of the Mangalore diocese; Fr Alfred Pinto, parish priest of Rosario Church; Fr Vincent D'Souza, secretary of CODP; and Fr Lawrence Cutinha, assistant director of CODP.

The event featured a series of engaging talks, starting with Dr Grynel D'Mello from Shirva, who addressed the vital topic of stress management. Sister Mariette then delivered an insightful discussion on pursuing a career in civil services, offering valuable guidance to students aspiring to enter the field. Deepti Gladys D'Souza, from Angelore Parish, shared a heartfelt account of how the Educare loan had enabled her to continue her education, serving as a source of inspiration for many. Richard Alvares, a member of the educare management committee, led an interactive session of warm-up exercises, energizing the students and promoting their physical well-being.

Fr Vincent D'Souza warmly welcomed the participants, while Fr Lawrence Cutinha delivered a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Michael D'Souza and his family, as well as to everyone who contributed to the success of the programme. Sr Evelyn Benis expertly compered the event as the master of ceremonies, ensuring its smooth progression. Approximately 150 students benefited from the programme.

The day concluded with a mass for the students, followed by a community lunch, which fostered a sense of unity and reflection among all participants.
