Beltangady, Oct 3: As part of swatch bharat abhiyan, the NCC department of Sacred Heart College organised a PLOG running event on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi.

The cadets of unit 2/18 Kar BN from Sacred Heart College participated in the event. Alwyn K G, NCC coordinator took the initiation and guided the cadets.

It involved walking, jogging and cleaning areas with plastic bags and plastic bottles. Cleanliness is an essential part of healthy living and for this purpose, this initiative was taken to enhance the importance of hygiene and a healthy clean and green environment. It is everybody's responsibility to keep themselves and their surroundings clean.

With this motive, the cadets organized the event with their family and friends at their residence as well as their surroundings. By this, the National Cadet Corps tried to create awareness among the people regarding the need for physical fitness and clean surrounding to lead a healthy life.
