Even with 150 cases and many many more to turn positive in the coming days, Udupi is in a relatively comfortable position as most of them are outsiders. There is no community spread yet. Only very few local infections. It was foolish enough to allow outsiders. Let sense prevail now and let outsiders be banned from entering the district. In fact its better to seal the district borders until all the ones who are positive are cured.

However ensure that Q'ed people are monitored closely till they turn negative and Udupi should once again be in green zone within a month. Hopefully.

BE STRICT and we can easily beat this one. Good Luck!

I believe udupi district administrators issued passes under some pressure?

If disease is not spreading outside, then great.

Now there is more risk for hospital staffs , they need to work under pressure.. whatever care they may take, some may be infected unknowingly.

So unfortunately we are all under some risk..

I have no idea about politics nor am I interested.
Politics just makes a situation worse especially in an epidemjc / pandemic.

They only come to take credit when an area is under green zone and when it turns bad they vanish.
So not surprised there if there was political pressure or if they even care.

I agree with you that medical personnel are at risks but usually they know their job and take care that they do not spread it around. One of the worst culprits would be police personnel. They come in contact with hundreds of people every day but they dont have the best hygiene habits. I have seen a lot of them handle masks carelessly. So they should be careful not to spread it around.

Apart from that, I see people are kinda scared, avoid public travel and that is good.
Atleast they will stay home which is what we want.
