Mangaluru, May 29: Vikram Putran and Kunal Ameen Ullal, members of Karnataka state award and Dakshina Kannada district Rajyotsava award winning Shivaji Jeevarakshaka Yuvaka Mandala, Mogaveera Patna, Ullal, saved the life of a Muslim woman who was found drowning at sea, by risking their own lives.
The incident took place some time ago, but the video of the brave act has gone viral now.
They said that humanity is a virtue that is beyond the purview of religion. They also added that Tulunadu has been following the culture and tradition of rescuing people following different religious faiths without checking their religious antecedents, and purely as per the demands of the situation at hand.
It may be recalled, in another incident, 19-year-old Nishanth from Kalladka who jumped into Netravati river in Panemangalore was rescued by a few Muslim youths on May 24. He later died without responding to the treatment.
