Bengaluru, May 27: Chief Minister Yediyurappa on Wednesday May 27 said that temples, mosques and churches will be re-opened in the state after May 31.
According to ANI, he said, “We are going to open temples, mosques and churches in the state after May 31” adding that ‘guidelines will be followed’.
He further said, "We have no objections to open malls and cinema halls, but we are waiting for the guidelines of the central government, Prime Minister will take decisions to allow malls and cinemas to open.”

It may be recalled, the state government has said that people from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Tamil Nadu will not be allowed in the state till May 31.

Bengaluru, May 27: Chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa on Wednesday, May 27, said that he has written to Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi requesting Karnataka to be allowed to reopen temples, mosques, churches and other religious places.
Speaking to media, CM said, “We have to get a lot of permissions before opening up, so let's wait and see. If we get permission, places of worship can open by June 1.”
All religious places, have been shut across the country since late March, after PM Modi announced a total lockdown to break the chain of coronavirus. While relaxations have been announced for many other things, religious places are not open yet.

It is said that a cabinet meet is expected on Thursday where the opening of religious places, including temples, mosques and churches is likely to be discussed.
It may be recalled, minister Kota Srinivas Poojary on Tuesday, had expressed hope that temples would open in June. He had maintained that the temples will be allowed to carry all the day-to-day activities except conducting fairs and ceremonies. The places of religious worship will also be required to maintain social distancing and other health norms, he had said.
