Udupi, May 23: Only three people tested positive in the district and not five as reported earlier on Saturday May 23. This was clarified by deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha.
The three have been identified as two men aged 40 and 49 and a 34-year-old woman. While the woman had returned from Maharashtra, the source of infection of both the men is yet to be confirmed.
A miscommunication from the health department to the district administration had led to the confusion.

Hence, in Udupi, 53 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including a death. Three have recovered, and 49 are active.

Udupi, May 23: Five people tested positive for coronavirus in Udupi on Saturday May 23.
Four had returned from Maharashtra and one is a Dubai returnee.
Three of them are males aged 31, 37 and 57 while the women are aged 34 and 48.
In Udupi, 55 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including a death. Three have recovered, and 51 are active.
