Bengaluru, Apr 25: Karnataka state BJP president and MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, has urged chief minister (CM), B S Yediyurappa, to take measures to see that those who participated in the Tablighi Jamaat at Delhi but skipped coronavirus tests thereafter, are found and subjected to these tests. He noted that there are many Tablighis who have not yet undergone tests.
Kateel handed over a petition to the chief minister containing these demands when he met him on Friday April 24.
He also urged the CM to initiate stringent action against the miscreants who engineered trouble at Padarayanapura. He also demanded registration of case against MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan, who was responsible for the unrest in that locality.
He sought extension of protection to health workers who are fighting against COVID 19 pandemic. He also demanded granting of special honorarium to ASHA workers, nurses and Anganwadi workers. He suggested to issue them personal protection equipment, thermometers and other facilities.
He suggested that when allowing government and privately owned enterprises to become functional, a gap should be maintained. He sought private and government works to resume. He said that masks should be supplied to poor people and workers free of cost.
