Beltangady: Teenager dies after falling into river in Arambodi

Beltangady, Feb 24: In a tragic incident, a 16-year-old boy accidentally fell into the Phalguni River and drowned in Arambodi village on February 23 evening.

The deceased has been identified as Pawan, son of Aturu Vasantha and Vijay, residents of Ramakunja near Uppinangady. Pavan was a Class 10 student at Siddakatte High School and was staying at his grandmother’s house in Arambodi village.

The unfortunate incident occurred when Pawan, who had come to visit his grandmother, accidentally fell into the river and drowned.

A case has been registered at the Venur police station, and further investigations are underway.
