Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Feb 13: "Already many Congress leaders of Karnataka have joined BJP. Similarly political secretary of chief minister B S Yediyurappa had met senior Congress leader D K Shivakumar on Wednesday, February 12 to pull him to BJP. That is why he met DKS," said minister C T Ravi giving a new twist to the meeting between Shivakumar and Renukacharya that took place on Wednesday.

The meeting of M P Renukacharya with D K Shivakumar had created curiosity in the political circles. Many rumours were being spread of this meeting between the leaders of ruling and opposition political parties on the wake of the legislative council elections. But Renukacharya had denied any developments and said that they had met D K Shivakumar in order to invite him for the Agricultural fair that is being organized in his constituency.

Minister C T Ravi jokingly said that Renukacharya had met D K Shivakumar to pressurize him to join BJP.

In the meantime, responding to a query on giving minister position to MLAs who have lost in the assembly elections, Ravi said that he has no objection whatsoever in this regard and it is up to the chief minister to take a call in this matter.
