Udupi, Oct 3: Information center of Baba Ramdev’s Yoga camp was inaugurated at Ramadhama chatra near Rajangana parking, Udupi, on Wednesday, October 2. The function was inaugurated by Sri Vidyadeesha Theerta swamiji of Palimar Math.
“It looks like even god wishes Baba Ramdev to be in Ramdham chatra. Baba Ramdev coming to Udupi is an auspicious moment and people are waiting for it. Sri Rama alone could have won against Ravana in Lanka but he took lots of Kapisainya along with him so that even they could enjoy the moment of victory. Similarly Ramdev conducts yoga camp all over the world and it seems like he is taking us to a new world,” said Swamiji.
“Yoga is necessary for everyone. Even politicians do yoga. Happy to see that even our prime minister does yoga. Politicians usually do yoga for half an hour so that they remain charged for the entire day,” he said. In a humourous way, swamiji said that today everyone has become chairmen. “From morning to evening people do most of the activities being in chair. Practising yoga makes even the ‘chairmen’ to have lunch sitting on the floor. Among 101 yoga camps, we are lucky to have one in Udupi in the hometown of Lord Krishna. It is the media which help us reach the news to all the corners of the state,” he said. Swamiji requested people to actively participate in the camp.
Bawarlal, Karnataka Rajya Prabhari, said, “Earlier yoga was practiced by bachelors and saints, but today we witness most of the people doing yoga. Doing yoga everyday keeps you healthy and energetic. Baba Ramdev is in England right now in yoga camp and he will be Australia next month. Indians in Australia requested Baba Ramdev to have another camp over there. As a result, yoga camp which was supposed to be started from December 3 is going to start from November 16.”
