Mangalore, Jul 8: ‘Hath Jodun’, a Konkani devotional audio cassette and CD by veteran musician Fr Walter D’Souza, was released by the diocese south deanery vicar Fr Andrew D’Souza, at Ammembal St Thomas the Apostle church, during the parish feast celebrations recently.
Fr Walter’s devotional hymns are unique and popular among the community, since they focus on the need of laity to praise and worship the Lord Almighty.
‘Hath Jodun’, Konkani devotional audio and CD has been produced, since the laity lacked the wide choice of hymns to praise and worship the Lord.
The hymns in the CD were composed by Fr Anthony George Pinto, Fr Maxim D’Souza and Fr Walter D’Souza. Sangeet Guru Joel Pereira contributed his music and the CD was recorded at Sandesha Digital Studio.
This audio and CD consist of 12 new prayer hymns. They are ideal choices for playing in Konkani programmes as prayer dance and for the laity to take part in liturgical service. Besides, they can be played at the households of Konkani families as early morning and night prayers, in hospitals, hostels and orphanages etc.
