Mangaluru: St Agnes College holds interactive session on its vision, mission

Media Release

Mangaluru, Dec 4: An interactive session for the UG and PG staff was recently conducted by Fr Richard Vaz SVD at the PG auditorium.

In keeping with the motto in life 'To become all things to all', Fr Vaz motivated the teachers to come up with a catchy one line vision for the college. Launching the centennial anniversary and a journey towards bicentennial was the main highlight of the session. He said achieving the vision someday and living the mission everyday should be our endeavour. Father also made the staff realise that excellence is not a destination but a continuous journey that never ends and to be focused on our call and vision.

Many centennial related inputs were given to the staff. To mention a few, Fr Vaz focused on how the college could share its success over the years, highlight the rich legacy of the college, showcase the position of the college in the field of education. "St Agnes College being one of the oldest women’s colleges in South India, veneration, commemoration and celebration should be the focus," he said.

It was indeed a very vibrant session, inspiring thoughts and insights that highlighted one of the visions, 'College of relevance to the emerging or evolving future'.

The teachers actively participated in this brain storming exercise of deciding on a very effective vision and mission for the college ahead of the centennial celebration.
