Mangaluru: Engineers’ and Teachers’ Day celebrated at Srinivas Institute of Technology

Mangaluru, Sep 18: Engineers’ and Teachers’ day was celebrated by Department of Mechanical Engineering of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Managluru on September 15.

Prof KN Gangadhar Alva, principal, Thumbe PU College was the chief guest. In his address he stressed the role of teacher in students life. He also the compared the old and new education system.

Dr Thomas Pinto, prof & head, department of Mechanical Engineering Presided over the function. Prof Pinto spoke on the role of teacher in everybody’s life and teacher-student relationship. The services of great teacher and philosopher Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and Bharatha Rathna Sir M Visvesvaraya were highlighted.

                                             

                                        

Prof K N Gangadhara Alva was felicitated on this occasion for his valueable contribution to the field of education. Dr Srinivasa Mayya, principal, SIT conveyed his well wishes.

Senior Professor  Dr Shankar KS and convener Prof Lokesh V were present and spoke on the occasion.

Prof Jayaram Thumbe introduced the chief guest.  Thanushree shetty compered the program and Aboobakar siddiq delivered vote of thanks.
