Udupi, Jul 6: In addition to Udupi to Manipal roads, the city will have three more four-lane roads, said MLA Raghupati Bhat.
Addressing press persons here on Wednesday July 5, Bhat said that the road leading to Diana circle from Kinnimulky, Perampally road and Malpe beach road are planned to be converted into four-lane roads. Apart from this 21 other new works would be taken up in district at a cost of Rs 12.27 crore, he said.
On the widening of Swagat Gopura- Mitra Hospital road, a sum of Rs 3 crore would be spent, while Rs 1 crore would be spent on widening the Diana circle- KM- Kediyoor hotel road. All three roads will have pavements, drains and provision for cable ducts.
A sub-way would be constructed at the Udupi taluk office. Overhead bridges would also be constructed near Udupi municipal office and Tiger circle, Manipal for pedestrians, he said.
