Mangalore, Jun 29: The Rama Sene will conduct ‘Abyasa Varga’ a work shop on Thursday July 21 and Friday July 22 to prepare its volunteers to bring awareness among the people, in the about the teachings of Hinduism, said Arun Kumar, state convener of Rama Sene at a press conference here on Friday June 29.
The Sene is against the steps taken by the government to demolish the Rama Setuve bridge, believed to be built by the loyal followers of Lord Sri Rama between India and Sri Lanka, Kumar said and urged the government to have second thoughts on the issue and declare it a national monument instead of demolishing it.
Kumar also demanded the censorship of a track from the movie ‘Preeti Eke Bhoomi Melide’ and threatened to a hold a mammoth rally against government if action is not taken in this regard.
Referring to ban on cow slaughter, he said that the government had assured that the ban would be imposed but has failed to keep its words. He also demanded the withdrawal of cases filed against those who tried to stop cow slaughter.
Dinkar Shetty, legal advisor of the Sene, Prasad Attavar, state co-convener and Kumar Malemar, district convener of the Sene were present.
