Kasargod: Girl claims rape by six persons, police hunt for accused

Kasargod, Oct 5: An incident of repeated rapes has come to light in Kasargod and police have registered a complaint against six persons who are said to be involved in it.
As per a complaint lodged by a nineteen-years-old girl with childline officials, Uppala’s fancy shop owner Muneer, Adyanadka’s Basheer, Angadimogaru’s Razak, Beru’s Ibrahim, Kaikamba’s Moidu and his friend were involved in the crime. The police have registered a case against the six.
A person had allegedly raped her on March 25, 2013 in a shop near the new bus stand. When the police arrested him, information regarding more people of having raped her came to light. The girl was kept in Mahila mandira in Paravadka.
She had fallen ill a few days ago. She had said that several men had raped her. Out of them, Munir allegedly raped her in Uppala’s hotel, Bashir in a remote place, Razak in the house of her relatives, Ibrahim in a house in Bekur and Moidu and his friend in a house in Kaikamba, as per the complaint of the girl.
When the police came to know of the rape incidents, they intensified their investigation. The accused will be arrested soon, police said.
