Govt executes major bureaucratic shuffle: key transfers and appointments across departments

Panaji, Jan 17: In a significant administrative shake-up, the Goa government has transferred several senior IAS officers. Suneel Anchipaka has been moved from the tourism department and assigned as the industries secretary, while Kedar Naik takes charge of the tourism department. Asvin Chandru has been appointed as the new secretary to the Chief Minister and CEO of the Goa Investment Promotion Board (GIPB), alongside his additional role as the CEO of Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG).

Meanwhile, Deepesh Priolkar, recently criticized by industries minister Mauvin Godinho, has been removed from his position as chief officer of Mormugao Municipal Council and shifted to managing director of Goa State ST Finance and Development Corporation. Siddhvinayak Naik will replace Priolkar at the Council.

Other key appointments include Vivek Naik as joint secretary for Protocol, Arvind Bugde as joint secretary for Law, and Sangeeta Parab as additional commissioner for State Taxes. Akshay Potekar has been appointed director (admin) at the DGP's office, while Rohan Kaskar takes over as director of New and Renewable Energy. Additionally, Premraj Shirodkar has been appointed Secretary of the Goa Real Estate Regulatory Authority (GRERA), and Kabir Shirgaonkar will be the new registrar of Cooperative Societies. Pritidas Gaonkar has been appointed special land acquisition and recovery officer at EDC.
