Goa, Jan 17: The Goa police have registered a case against a courier company and a man for allegedly cheating over the wrong delivery of Coldplay concert tickets worth Rs 3.86 lac.
Dr Ashley Fernandes lodged a complaint with the Colva police in south Goa on Thursday, stating that the courier company mistakenly delivered four tickets meant for the British rock band’s Mumbai concert to another individual.
The complainant alleged that Tushar Bansal accepted the tickets, valued at Rs 3,86,217, without any verification. Fernandes had booked the tickets through an online portal.
A case of cheating has been registered against the courier company and Bansal under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita section.
Coldplay is set to perform three shows at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai’s Thane district on January 18, 19, and 21 as part of their ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour.’
