New Delhi, Apr 1: Indian women’s hockey star Vandana Katariya, who announced her retirement on Tuesday, shared how icons like Dhanraj Pillay, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Usain Bolt motivated her throughout her illustrious 15-year career. With 320 international caps and 158 goals, Vandana leaves behind a legacy marked by her leadership and achievements, including a Junior World Cup title in 2013 and a heartbreaking fourth-place finish at the Tokyo Olympics.
In an emotional farewell, Vandana recalled her journey, from humble beginnings to reaching the pinnacle of the sport. "It was a very hard decision to retire. Our team is like family, and parting from them is tough," she said in an exclusive interview.
