Beltangady, Apr 2: Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning lashed several parts of Beltangady taluk on Wednesday, April 2.

Mundaje, Kakkinje, Dharmasthala, Ujire, Nada, Nidigal, Panakaje, Aladangadi, and other areas experienced intense showers with thunder and lightning.

The evening showers have brought relief from the summer heat, creating a cool atmosphere. However, the ongoing National Highway construction work has been affected due to the rain. In Kakkinje, heavy downpour led to waterlogging on the roads.

For the past two weeks, the taluk has been witnessing a mix of sunny and rainy weather conditions.
